We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, primarily using an aggregate trailer and a walking floor bulker. This role involves delivering to various locations throughout Cornwall, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations, and maintaining excellent customer service standards. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics environment, supporting the timely delivery of products across the county.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate HGV Class 1 lorries in accordance with legal and company standards.
  • Conduct pre‑journey safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals.
  • Secure loads safely on flatbeds and ensure they are compliant with safety regulations.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the company's reputation during all interactions.
  • Adhere to all road safety laws and company policies at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 licence with relevant driving experience.
  • Proven experience in commercial driving.
