A specialist college in Leicestershire is seeking SEND Specialist Tutors to support autistic young people and learners with additional needs, including ADHD and learning disabilities. You’ll teach in small class sizes, delivering personalised, autism-affirming learning that supports students academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learner needs
- Support communication, emotional regulation and life skills development
- Monitor progress using RARPA and EHCP outcomes
- Promote independence, Preparing for Adulthood outcomes and progression pathways
- Support work experience, community engagement and transition planning
- Work closely with families, therapists and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and autism-friendly learning environment
Ideal Candidate
- PGCE, Cert Ed or QTS
- Experience working with SEND learners, particularly those with autism
- Strong understanding of inclusive and person-centred teaching approaches
