The Role
We are looking for an Electronics Engineering Technician / Instructor to:
- Prepare and set up equipment and components for practical sessions.
- Interpret diagrams and assemble circuits, PCBs, and PLC systems for teaching delivery.
- Demonstrate techniques such as soldering, wiring, and PCB assembly to students.
- Support lecturers and aid students through practical demonstrations and one-to-one assistance.
- Order, maintain, and manage stock of components, ensuring workshops run smoothly.
- Promote safe working practices and maintain high-quality workshop standards.
About You
Youll have a strong background in electronics/electrical engineering with excellent practical skills and a collaborative, learner-focused approach.
Essential skills and experience:
- Level 3 or above in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Skilled in soldering, PCB assembly, wiring, and working with PLCs.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage equipment and stock.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety in workshop/lab environments.
Desirable:
- Experience mentoring, training, or instructing others.
- Teaching or assessor qualifications (or willingness to work towards).
