Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer or Technician with strong fluid power expertise in pneumatics or hydraulics? Looking to step away from the tools and move into a secure, rewarding training & education role? This Gloucestershire-based training provider is expanding its delivery team and is looking for an industry-skilled professional to join them as a Mechanical Instructor. No teaching experience is required—full training and qualifications are provided.
The Role
You will deliver practical and theory-based training to apprentices and adult learners, focusing on:
- Pneumatics and/or hydraulics
- Stand-alone pneumatic training rigs
- Circuit function, system operation and fault-finding
- Mechanical hand-fitting, assembly, and maintenance tasks
Full support and mentoring are provided, with the opportunity to gain:
- Level 3 Award in Education & Training (AET)
- Level 3 Assessor Qualification (CAVA)
Both normally completed within your first 12 months.
What You Need
- Strong mechanical background (maintenance, fitting, assembly, servicing, or engineering)
- Practical experience in pneumatics OR hydraulics (essential)
- Confident communication and a willingness to teach others
- A passion for developing the next generation of engineers
Candidates from industry (manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, marine, energy, MoD, rail, etc.) are all encouraged to apply.
