Our client is looking for a senior construction lawyer to support on a long-term building remediation project.

About the Role:

This role would suit a senior construction lawyer who is comfortable working closely with technical teams and wider stakeholders. You’ll need to be hands-on, motivated, self-sufficient and able to take ownership of workstreams. The team needs someone who can get into the detail, manage a high volume of work and work well in a project-led environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review and negotiate construction and remediation-related documentation
  • Advise on JCT, NEC contracts, consultant appointments and contractor documentation
  • Work closely with legal, technical and project teams to review, execute and manage documentation to maintain deadlines
  • Help manage legal interactions across owners, residents, contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders
  • Identify and implement process improvements to support faster delivery

Required experience:

  • Qualified lawyer in England and Wales
  • A minimum of 8+ years’ PQE
  • Strong construction law experience gained either in Private Practice or In-house
  • Experience with JCT, NEC contracts and consultant appointments
  • Background in development, real estate, construction or infrastructure projects
  • Confident working independently and at pace
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Practical, hands-on approach

Office working: Hybrid working, with four days per week onsite in North London

Start date: ASAP, with early July preferred. Candidates on up to two months’ notice will also be considered.

Pay range and compensation package: Competitive day rate or FTC equivalent. They will consider candidates on both a day-rate consultancy or fixed-term contract basis. The expected duration is 12 to 24 months.
