The HR Generalist will report into the HRBP UK&I and provide dedicated HR support across our UK&I sites, acting as a trusted support to managers on employee relations, recruitment, and operational HR matters.
The role will ensure consistent, fair, and legally compliant people practices while supporting cultural transformation, leadership development, and enabling managers to make informed people decisions.
- Key Tasks
- HR Administration
- Support the HR Coordinator with day-to-day administrative activities.
- Provide cover for HR administrative processes during periods of annual leave or absence.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Prepare HR documentation including letters, outcome communications, and meeting invitations.
- Ensure employee records and case files are maintained confidentially and in accordance with GDPR requirements.
- HRIS Maintenance
- Administer and maintain the Talent HR system, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
- Support onboarding and offboarding workflows within the system.
- Liaise with IT and Payroll to ensure seamless integration of HRIS processes.
- Recruitment Administration
- Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
- Track recruitment cycles and ensure timely progression of candidates.
- Reduce reliance on external agencies by improving internal recruitment turnaround.
- Employee Relations
- Manage and support a range of employee relations cases from start to finish, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and best practice.
- Conduct workplace investigations relating to disciplinary, grievance, capability, and other employee relations matters.
- Prepare investigation reports with clear findings and recommendations.
- Advise and coach managers through disciplinary, grievance, capability, and performance management processes.
- Support and attend formal hearings and meetings, providing procedural guidance and note-taking where required.
- Manage and coordinate flexible working requests, ensuring fair and consistent application of policy.
- Support managers with probation reviews, performance concerns, and employee conduct matters.
- Absence Management
- Provide guidance and support to managers on short-term and long-term absence cases.
- Monitor absence trends and support managers in addressing attendance concerns.
- Coordinate occupational health referrals where appropriate and support the implementation of recommendations.
- Advise managers on return-to-work processes, reasonable adjustments, and disability-related absence considerations.
- Ensure absence cases are managed consistently and in line with company policy and legal requirements.
- Manager Support
- Act as the first point of contact for managers seeking advice on people-related matters.
- Build strong working relationships with managers to support effective people management and employee engagement.
- Provide practical and commercially focused HR guidance and solutions.
- Escalate complex or high-risk cases where required.
- Project Support
Project support as and when required in terms of collating data for analysis and ensuring accurate record keeping.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area
- 3+ years' of experience working in Human Resources
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
