We’re looking for a driven and dynamic Warehouse Team Leader to contribute to our continued success. The role is based at our site in Belfast.

The Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this is a hands-on role which will include supporting our warehouse and leading, motivating, supervising and developing the team whilst delivering a consistent, smooth and efficient warehouse/logistics department. Although the core hours are Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Friday 08:30 – 15:45, you must have a flexible attitude to the start and finish times to suit the business needs and be able to work overtime at short notice.

Key Tasks

  • Create a fully flexible Goods Outwards/Logistics Team, through training and secondment to other disciplines on a rolling basis.
  • Ensure excellent communication and teamwork by maintaining a helpful, positive and friendly atmosphere with colleagues.
  • Ensure all necessary tasks are delegated to your team and update the whiteboard daily.
  • Maintain customer care by accurate picking and packing of customer orders both DLF and general orders.
  • Ensure the goods receiving/inwards processes are followed as per company guidelines and standards.
  • Efficient control of warehouse working hours & monitor overtime.
  • Ensure the efficient and accurate picking and despatch of all sales orders, works orders, rework, plating notes and transfers, ensuring nil overdue deliveries.
  • Ensure DLF deliveries are accurate and on time.
  • Ensure daily urgent customer orders are dealt with and the efficient use of Hauliers & Couriers to despatch.
  • Set up and maintenance of kanbans for DLF customers.
  • Ensure stock is returned to correct warehouse locations by all staff.
  • Ensure stock losses are reported to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Monitor and carry out PI counts when required, updating quantities on D365. Report findings to Warehouse and Operations Managers.
  • Liaising with Warehouse Manager all records and top 30’s to be completed yearly/quarterly.
  • Assist with the achievement of monthly PI targets to PI plan.

The Candidate

Experience of working within a Warehouse is essential, ideally with extensive knowledge of the various warehouse functions and logistics. A desire to succeed is a must, along with a can-do attitude. The candidate must understand the importance of working as part of a team but also have the motivation and initiative to work alone at times in order to get the job done. The ideal candidate will be someone who is used to working to deadlines in a very busy environment and who can think on their feet. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate flexibility in their approach and be able to prioritise and remain focused at all times as accuracy is paramount to this role.
