We are seeking an Accounts Technician for one of our Honiton based clients. As a key member of the accounts team, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and tax tasks, including the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and VAT returns. This is an excellent opportunity to join this growing organisation on a permanent basis with hybrid working available. Key Responsibilities will include: Preparing financial statements for various business structures. Calculating and filing personal and corporate tax returns. Providing bookkeeping and management accounting services. Submitting necessary documents to Companies House and HMRC. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records. Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns. Adhering to internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Supporting the Partners, Managers, and the office with general administrative tasks. Essential Experience / Qualifications and Attributes Required: Experience as an Accounts Technician or Semi-Senior in an accountancy practice. AAT qualified (preferred) or equivalent experience. Experience preparing accounts for limited companies. Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proactive, team-oriented, and able to work independently. Benefits: Flexible working arrangements (flexible and hybrid opportunities) Annual salary review.
