The Role
As a Test Operative, you will play a key role within a multi-skilled production cell carrying out a range of assembly and test activities to meet quality, safety and performance standards. This is a varied and hands-on position ideal for someone with an electrical, electronic, or mechanical background, who enjoys practical work, technical problem-solving, and working as part of a professional manufacturing team.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assembling and testing a variety of electrical and electronic components.
- Using production documentation to meet Quality, Safety and Environmental standards.
- Coil winding, loom preparation, wiring, crimping and wire-stripping.
- Rack and cubicle assembly and wiring of electrical systems.
- Operating semi-automatic test equipment and performing electrical/electronic testing.
- Conducting visual inspections (electronic and light mechanical).
- Using encapsulation machinery and carrying out basic painting or finishing tasks.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times.

Skills & Experience
We are looking for individuals with:
- Education to ONC level or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Hands-on experience in a production, assembly, or test environment
- Competence in using electronic test equipment (Fluke, oscilloscopes, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, test specs and parts lists
- Confident with Windows-based software for test and production tasks
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to investigate and identify production faults
- A flexible, proactive, and collaborative work attitude
