Role Overview
This Finance Business Partner role supports senior operational leaders across manufacturing sites, providing commercial insight and financial leadership to help deliver operational and financial targets. Working closely with Operations, the role focuses on analysing performance, improving decision-making, and proactively driving efficiencies and value creation. The position plays a key role within the site leadership team, partnering with stakeholders across the business to improve financial control, forecasting accuracy, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a finance business partner to Operations across multiple sites, ensuring clear understanding and ownership of all aspects of the profit and loss account.
- Work closely with operational teams to develop, manage and control budgets, forecasts and manufacturing plans.
- Monitor performance against plans using robust variance analysis and provide actionable insight.
- Support the preparation of month-end close and management accounts.
- Contribute to the development of financial plans that deliver cost savings and improved value for money.
- Use data and modern reporting tools, including Power BI, to produce dashboards, reports and analysis identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Proactively identify and drive process and performance improvements.
- Deliver ad-hoc project work as required.
- Ensure financial processes and controls are followed consistently and with integrity.
- Operate as a key member of the site management team, providing commercial challenge and support.
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness of products, customers, markets and manufacturing processes.
- Represent finance professionally across the business and promote best practice.
- Undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the role.

Candidate Profile
- Professionally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or qualified by experience.
- Essential experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI, including dashboard and visual creation.
- Proactive, self-motivated and confident in influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to lead or support cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Resilient, enthusiastic and commercially minded.
- Well-organised with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
