A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain Planning & Forecasting Specialist to take the lead in aligning planning and forecasting across a multi-channel retail network. This role is central to ensuring the right products are available in the right place both in-store and online on time and in full.
Youll work closely with a range of teams including Buying, Commercial, Imports, Warehousing, and Logistics to deliver accurate forecasts, support high-profile events, and minimise excess inventory. The role spans short-term delivery improvements, medium-term process enhancements, and long-term supply chain innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with retail, marketing, and merchandising teams to align forecasts with promotional calendars and business objectives.
- Develop and manage demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and upcoming events.
- Continuously monitor and adjust forecasts to account for changes in demand, seasonality, or market conditions.
- Partner with imports, operations, inventory management, and marketing to ensure unified planning approaches.
- Lead planning for major sales events, seasonal peaks, and product launches.
- Anticipate demand fluctuations and proactively adjust supply strategies to ensure product availability.
- Work with inventory and procurement teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Prepare detailed forecast reports with actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Track forecast accuracy and implement process improvements.
- Leverage forecasting tools and techniques to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and promote best practices in planning and forecasting.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain managementpreferably in retail.
- Proven success in cross-functional collaboration to achieve business objectives.
Key Competencies
- Strong analytical ability to interpret data, identify trends, and inform decisions.
- Proficiency in forecasting tools and software (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Skilled in prioritisation, conflict resolution, and clear communication under tight deadlines.
- Highly organised with strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
