Experienced Maintenance Technician required to work within the moulding team for a Global manufacturer at their Plymouth based site. As part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the production of plastic components using injection moulding machines and will come from an Engineering background coupled with previous injection moulding experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operating injection moulding machines to produce plastic components according to specifications.
- Troubleshooting any issues with the machines or processes through root cause analysis and technical fault finding (Mechanical & Electrical).
- Completion of routine planned maintenance – Weekly, Monthly & 6 Monthly.
- Assisting PM Technician with annual maintenance tasks on machines.
- Working safely and adhering to all health and safety regulations and internal procedures.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste (e.g. 5S, Gemba Activities, Kaizen).
- Collaborating with all members of shift core team including Operators, Quality Technicians, Engineers and Shift Leaders.
- Documenting production data and maintaining accurate records through SAP.
- Conducting regular inspections of equipment and materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Essential Qualifications, Experience and Candidate Attributes Required:
Minimum of a level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification.
Previous experience in a Technical based role in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to fault find on mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
The ability to follow written work instruction (SOPs) and read Engineering drawings.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Excellent attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with others.
Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. outlook)
Highly Beneficial Experience:
Previous experience in Injection Moulding would be highly desirable.

24 days holiday + 8 statutory Bank Holidays per year (rising to 25 days holiday + 8 days BH after 5 years of service).
The successful candidate must be able to work a continual 3 on 3 off night shift pattern working 23:00 to 11:00. If a period of training is required on days the successful candidate will not receive shift premium during the training period.
