We are looking for a dynamic Graphic Designer / Illustrator to join a growing design team based in Plymouth.

About the Role

You’ll work on a variety of creative projects including packaging and communication design. The position involves developing concepts and producing engaging illustrations that support brand and product goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop visual concepts for packaging and seasonal campaigns.
  • Illustrate and create pattern designs for use across products and packaging.
  • Create and amend artwork files from design templates following creative guidelines.
  • Adapt images throughout the artwork stages in preparation for repro and offer creative retouching when needed.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure all work is of a high standard and completed on time.
  • Apply knowledge of various printed materials, branding and print finishes.
  • Contribute to the design and production of regular packaging designs.
  • Maintain an organised file management system for all design work.
  • Present work effectively and explain your creative ideas with confidence.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Ability to illustrate in multiple styles to suit different brand identities and seasonal trends.
  • Understanding of colour profiles, file and image formatting, and output for print and web.
  • Experience in designing for print and packaging.
  • Strong typographic skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly creative with a portfolio showing a range of design and illustration work.
  • Awareness of branding principles and the retail industry is advantageous.
