TQR are working exclusively with a global Manufacturer based at their Plymouth site to recruit experienced Production Operators to work on a new weekend shift due to a vast increase in production levels. Successful candidates will be responsible for the assembly of product, general machine operating and basic Quality Inspection. These are temporary positions for a minimum period of six to eight months; however, due to the vast increase in production levels, it is highly likely that these will be ongoing temporary positions and could even become permanent opportunities for candidates who can demonstrate a successful and hardworking attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly of product in line with customer specifications.
  • Operating production machinery.
  • Basic quality inspection.
  • Packing of completed orders where necessary.
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Adhering to company Health and Safety Procedures.

Essential Experience & Candidate Attributes Required:

  • Recent Production experience gained from a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and under own initiative.

Candidates who are shortlisted for these roles must be able to commit to the following process with TQR ahead of being placed onto the weekend shift:

  • Mondays: Site Tour at our client's facility.
  • Wednesdays: Induction on site. The duration for this induction lasts between 4 to 5 hours.
  • Thursdays: 2 week training on the alternating shift, Monday to Friday. Once candidates have attended both the site tour and the induction, they will then train for 2 weeks on the alternating shift (week 1 6am to 2pm, week 2 14:00 to 22:00). Once completed, they will then be placed onto the weekend shift.

Candidates must be able to commit to a weekend shift pattern comprising of 12 hour days Saturday & Sunday 18:00 to 06:00. Candidates will be paid for the induction at the base rate of pay of £12.71 per hour in with their first week's wage, providing candidates begin the weekend shift as planned. Pay rate for 12 hour nights is £19.06 per hour.
