Our client, a prestigious global engineering firm based in Plymouth, are looking for an experienced Quality Operative to join their production team on a temporary on-going basis.
Job Purpose Duties (not exhaustive):
- Inspection of incoming materials and finished assemblies as per standard inspection procedures and operating instructions - NB. Assemblies can weigh up to 15kg each.
- Patrol inspection of work in progress and offline testing.
- Accurate entry of quality incidents into incident log.
- Maintaining written and computer-based inspection records.
- Labelling and packing of finished parts.
- Any other tasks pertinent to the post.
Desired attributes:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to communicate effectively via verbal and written methods (including email).
- Experience working within a small team.
- Able to react to changing demands and priorities.
- Responsible and trustworthy.
- Knowledge of systems/databases would be an advantage, but basic training can be provided.
- Previous experience of Internal Auditing would be an advantage.
Working hours:
Monday to Thursday 8.00am until 4.45pm, Friday 8.00am until 12.00pm.
