An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and analytical Demand Planner to join a fast-growing, privately owned retail organisation with a strong national presence. You will be responsible for delivering accurate demand forecasts and supporting effective replenishment strategies. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure optimal stock availability while driving insights to support trading and promotional activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, making data-driven recommendations.
- Review and refine forecasts to reflect seasonal trends and promotional activity.
- Act as a super user of AI-driven forecasting and replenishment systems, managing updates, testing, and implementation of changes.
- Review promotional allocations at store level, ensuring accuracy and alignment with plans.
- Collaborate closely with Buying and Stock teams on product ranges, forecast exceptions, and demand-impacting activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in demand planning, forecasting, replenishment, or supply chain within retail or FMCG.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
- Experience with forecasting or replenishment systems is advantageous.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with BI/analytics tools.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong commercial awareness with confident communication skills.
