We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bench Joiner to join a busy furniture manufacturing environment on a temporary basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling furniture frames and components, using a range of hand and power tools. You will also be involved in developing frames and jigs and operating production machinery as required.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced joiner who can hit the ground running and consistently produce high-quality work within a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture furniture frames using hand and power tools.
- Assemble frames, rails and internal drawers to a high standard.
- Develop and work with frames and jigs as required.
- Operate machinery and production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Complete machining and assembly work accurately and efficiently.
- Work to high-quality standards throughout the production process.
- Support the wider production team to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Assist with the organisation and movement of materials and finished goods when required.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' joinery experience.
- Previous experience in furniture manufacturing or a production environment is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of joinery and furniture construction.
- Confident using a range of hand and powertools.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, reliable and able to work at pace.
- Flexible and willing to learn new skills where required.
