Role Purpose

Design mechanical, electrical, and control system processes and equipment for closed moulding composite manufacturing. Provide technical support to client organisations and internal business development teams relating to machinery, electrical systems, automated equipment, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and develop design concepts for equipment and processes.
  • Produce design drawings and technical specifications using appropriate software.
  • Identify and evaluate engineering solutions for equipment and process-related projects.
  • Recommend design specifications to ensure solutions meet client requirements.
  • Produce supporting technical documentation for designs and projects.
  • Provide hands-on support during build, commissioning, and testing of equipment.
  • Carry out on-site installation, commissioning, and testing activities as required.
  • Deliver training to client engineers and operators on equipment use and maintenance.
  • Provide professional technical support to clients via phone and email.
  • Complete bills of materials (BOMs), timesheets, and other project documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and develop technical knowledge, including emerging technologies and industry developments.
  • Provide regular project updates to management as required.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards, policies, and procedures (UK and international).

Person Specification

  • Engineering degree or equivalent relevant engineering experience (minimum 1 year).
  • Proficiency in relevant CAD/design software.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Detail-focused with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a changing project environment.
  • Committed to continuous learning and staying up to date with engineering developments.
  • Willingness to travel and work independently internationally when required.
  • Holds a valid passport and driving licence.
