As a result of our clients expansion plans, and continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Assistant Accountant for the Plymouth area.. Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our Finance team. This includes posting journals, preparing and reviewing financial performance, and having an input on key commercial decision making. Duties to include: Supporting of the full finance function to include Revenue, AP & Expenditure Supporting and review of all P&L, Balance sheet codes Daily bank reconciliations Assist with Preparing month end close Monthly balance sheet reconciliations Review and challenge of monthly accruals/prepayments Budget variance analysis Support within our EDI and Data capture approval systems Assist with Capital expenditure and CIS Assist with preparing and submitting monthly and quarterly regulatory returns (VAT, ONS, Intrastat) Assisting with yearend audit Ad hoc financial tasks as required, providing flexibility to support evolving business needs Qualifications, skills and experience: This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment.
