Experienced Test Technician / Solderer required for Global Manufacturer based at their site in Truro. Reporting to the Production Team Leader, the primary objective of the Test Technician is to manage the testing of all cable harnesses to customer requirement, highlight errors and ensure correction. You will assist with the repair process by analysing faults and recommending remedial action along with assisting with the quote process and the calibration of tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing of cable harnesses and carry out corrective actions.
- Assist in the repairs process.
- Assist with calibration of tools.
- To support the stores function.
- Support quote process.
- On occasions support the production function.
- To assist with inspection and testing activities in line with production requirements.
- To play an active role in process improvement and the implementation of change.
- Provide ad hoc support within the business towards ensuring company objectives are achieved.
Essential Experience & Candidate Attributes Required:
- Proven Soldering / Wiring Assembly / Electrical / Electronic Assembly experience.
- GCSE/A Level qualifications in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
- Knowledge of production control systems.
- Knowledge of information and documentation processes, product structures, BOM's and workflow.
- Organisational and detail oriented.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
