Are you an experienced Engineer—either degree-qualified or time-served—looking to pivot into a commercially focused role? We are offering a unique opportunity to join our procurement team as a Sourcing Engineer (Technical Buyer), where your engineering expertise will be the foundation for success.

Key Responsibilities
* Source direct components for NPIs using engineering drawings and specifications.
* Evaluate supplier capabilities, lead times, and quality standards.
* Collaborate with engineering and commercial teams to build accurate quotations.
* Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
* Support cost reduction and inventory optimisation initiatives.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Track and report on sourcing performance and savings.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Engineering degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing, etc.) or equivalent hands-on experience.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
* Proactive and collaborative approach.
Desirable:
* Experience in procurement or supply chain (not essential).
* CIPS Level 4 or above.
* Familiarity with metals and precision components.
* SAP or MRP/ERP system experience.
