An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Seller Account Executive to join a fast-growing and ambitious retail business at its Head Office in Plymouth. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in e-commerce and marketplaces, looking to develop their career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of marketplace sellers, supporting their growth and performance while ensuring a high-quality seller experience. Acting as the first point of contact, you will play a key role in day-to-day seller operations, relationship management and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with a portfolio of marketplace sellers, focusing on performance optimisation, sales growth, and retention.
- Support sellers in aligning with overall marketplace product strategy and business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve product visibility, expand product ranges, and drive sales performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Deliver enhanced support to key sellers through proactive engagement and tailored guidance.
- Ensure seller compliance with platform policies, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate promotional activity, pricing updates, and campaign execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Marketing, Finance, Operations, New Business) to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Optimise product listings, including content, pricing, and availability.
- Monitor seller performance metrics such as order flow, stock levels, and service standards.
- Act as the first point of contact for seller queries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Manage support tickets via internal systems, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
- Assist with onboarding new products and sellers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyse marketplace data and produce reports to support decision-making.
- Identify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement of marketplace processes and functionality.
- Support resolution of customer service issues and returns in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- 0–2 years’ experience or a strong interest in e-commerce or marketplace environments (including internships or academic work).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data analysis, reporting).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working cross-functionally with operational or technical teams is advantageous.
