We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Digital Analyst to join a growing Group Digital team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven professional to use digital, ecommerce and customer data to generate meaningful insights that support commercial performance and better decision-making.
Based in London with hybrid working, you’ll work closely with Ecommerce, Marketing, Product, Technology and external partners to strengthen digital tracking, reporting and analytics capabilities.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role for an analytical and curious individual with strong experience across digital analytics, reporting and data visualisation.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring digital data is accurate, accessible and actionable, while identifying opportunities to improve customer journeys, ecommerce performance and conversion.
You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the development and use of AI within analytics, helping to identify new and more efficient ways of generating insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert for Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
- Own and enhance digital measurement, reporting and ecommerce tracking across multiple websites.
Analyse customer behaviour, conversion funnels, website performance and ecommerce journeys to identify opportunities for growth.
- Manage and support tagging, event tracking and measurement through Google Tag Manager.
- Define data and measurement requirements for website developments, campaigns and digital projects. Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for key stakeholders.
- Use Big Query, SQL and integrated data sources to carry out detailed customer and commercial analysis.
- Monitor data quality, investigate anomalies and resolve tracking or reporting issues.
Support conversion rate optimisation, experimentation and digital performance analysis.
Work collaboratively with Ecommerce, Marketing, Product and Technology teams to improve analytics capability and business performance.
- Work with external agency and specialist partners where required. Explore and implement AI-driven tools and approaches to improve reporting, analysis and insight generation.
- Support the continuous improvement of analytics processes, governance and data literacy across the business.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced digital analytics professional who combines strong technical expertise with commercial awareness and the ability to communicate insights clearly.
Essential Experience
- Significant hands-on experience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including ecommerce reporting and measurement.
Strong experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) and digital tracking implementation.
- Advanced knowledge of Google Big Query and SQL for analysing large datasets.
- Advanced Power BI skills, including dashboard development, data modelling and stakeholder reporting.
- Experience working in an ecommerce or digital environment.
Strong understanding of customer journeys, digital performance metrics and commercial KPIs.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Ability to turn complex technical and analytical information into clear, actionable business recommendations.
Commercially minded, with a focus on delivering insight that supports business performance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence working with colleagues at all levels.
Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive and curious approach, with the confidence to challenge assumptions using data and evidence.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams while managing your workload independently.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with GA4 data exported into Big Query. Experience with conversion rate optimisation (CRO) and experimentation.
- Experience combining web analytics with transactional, customer, CRM or marketing data. Knowledge of consent management, cookies and digital analytics privacy requirements.
- Experience working with APIs, automated data pipelines or cloud-based data environments.
Practical experience using AI tools within an analytics environment, including automated analysis and insight generation.
- Experience supporting ecommerce replatforming projects or wider digital transformation programmes.
Experience working with digital analytics agencies or external specialist partners.
- A strong interest in emerging technologies, analytics innovation and AI-driven solutions.
