TQR are working exclusively with a Manufacturer based in Devon to recruit a Senior Project Manager at the start of a growth journey for the business. As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic oversight, planning, coordination, and delivery of projects across our global portfolio. You will lead a team of Project Managers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You will act as the primary point of control and escalation for complex projects and play a key role in developing scalable project management processes, supporting business growth, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Project Managers, setting objectives, monitoring performance, and supporting professional development. Allocate projects across the team and oversee resource planning to ensure effective delivery.
- Global Project Delivery: Oversee planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple international projects from concept through to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards.
- Project Planning & Oversight: Develop and maintain strategic project plans, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies. Monitor progress across multiple projects and implement corrective actions where required.
- Stakeholder & Customer Management: Act as a senior point of contact for customers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Conduct project reviews, client meetings, and regular status reporting to the Operations Director.
- Process Improvement & Governance: Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and systems. Ensure projects comply with regulatory, quality, and safety requirements. Facilitate lessons learned workshops and embed best practices across the team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design, production, procurement, logistics, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution. Support cross-departmental initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Essential Experience, Skills & Candidate Attributes Required:
- A recognised, formal Project Management Qualification – e.g. PRINCE2, PMP or Equivalent.
- Proven, demonstrated experience managing complex international or multi-site projects coupled with demonstrated leadership skills, leading teams of Project Managers.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday, with flexibility to support differing time zones (Work pattern – Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work).
- Full, clean UK driving license.
