An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Analytics Manager to join a growing, multi-brand organisation as part of its continued expansion. This is a key role within the digital function, offering the chance to shape and lead the analytics strategy across a complex digital estate.
The Role
As Digital Analytics Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end analytics and measurement strategy across websites and mobile apps. You'll combine deep technical expertise with strong commercial awareness to deliver actionable insights that drive performance and enhance customer experience. Working cross-functionally with Product, UX, Development and Digital Trading teams, you will ensure robust tracking, reporting, and governance frameworks are in place, while championing data-led decision making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the digital analytics and measurement strategy across web and app platforms.
- Define and maintain measurement frameworks aligned to business objectives, trading priorities and customer journeys.
- Lead the implementation, configuration and optimisation of analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics 4).
- Oversee tagging strategy and governance using tools such as Google Tag Manager.
- Manage consent and cookie compliance via platforms such as OneTrust.
- Partner with Product, UX, Development and Compliance teams to define and implement data layer requirements.
- Deliver insightful reporting and dashboards across multiple brands and digital touchpoints.
- Analyse customer behaviour, acquisition channels, conversion funnels and engagement trends to identify optimisation opportunities.
- Evaluate digital marketing effectiveness across paid, owned and earned channels.
- Support CRO and testing initiatives, measuring the impact of experiments and new features.
- Ensure tracking compliance and data integrity across all platforms.
- Manage relationships with external partners and vendors where required.
- Educate and support internal stakeholders in KPI understanding and data-driven decision making.
About You
You are a commercially minded, insight-driven analytics professional with a strong technical background and a passion for improving digital performance. You're comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in digital analytics within retail, ecommerce or multi-brand environments.
- Strong expertise in Google Analytics 4 (or similar web/app analytics platforms).
- Hands-on experience with tag management solutions such as Google Tag Manager.
- Experience with consent management platforms (e.g. OneTrust).
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Google Cloud (BigQuery) or similar.
- Strong understanding of ecommerce metrics, customer journeys, attribution and conversion optimisation.
- Experience working with developers on tracking implementation and data layer design.
- Advanced reporting and dashboarding skills (e.g. Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau).
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
Desirable
- Experience with app analytics tools (e.g. Firebase).
- Exposure to behavioural analytics tools (e.g. Hotjar).
- Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g. Fivetran).
- Background in retail, home, DIY or general merchandise sectors.
- Previous mentoring or line management experience.
