As a Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in developing the software that controls, monitors, regulates, and automates next-generation composite manufacturing technology. From developing software design concepts through to supporting on-site commissioning, this role blends creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on engineering.
You will have experience in electronic and electrical software development, with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience and/or Siemens TIA Portal experience being highly desirable. The role is central to designing automated machinery, equipment, and processes for closed-mould composite manufacturing. You will also provide technical support across a range of projects and clients internationally.
You will work closely with colleagues, suppliers, and clients worldwide, contributing to projects spanning multiple industries. No two days are the same; one moment you may be developing detailed control system designs, and the next you could be supporting a client on the factory floor or helping refine a complex manufacturing process.
What you will be doing:
- Designing electrical and control systems for composite moulding processes.
- Developing design concepts and producing drawings and specifications using appropriate software.
- Researching new technologies, tools, and techniques to improve equipment and processes.
