We are seeking an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to complement the role of the GP and other health professionals and be an integral part of the care team. The role focuses on using clinical skills within the practice to promote well-being and maximise health gain for patients, providing safe, high-quality and accessible treatment-room services for registered patients.
Main Duties:
- Complement the GP and other health professionals as a key member of the care team.
- Use clinical skills within the practice to promote well-being and maximise patients' health gain.
- Provide safe, high-quality and accessible treatment-room services to the practice population.
- Support research participation as an active primary-care research practice.
- Facilitate training and development for your career progression.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Registered with the NMC.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- Certification of competency in child immunisation and cytology.
- Experience in a Primary Care setting, preferably as a Practice Nurse.
- Experience with long-term conditions such as COPD, asthma, diabetes and CHD.
- Desirable: Experience in contraception, travel service, young children, supervisor/assessor/mentor roles, independent prescriber, and diabetes diploma.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Physical examination skills and influencing/assertiveness skills.
- Commitment to ongoing training and development.
- Immunisation skills and ability to work in emotional circumstances.
- Ability to make clinical judgments involving complex facts or situations.
- Good time management, flexible and adaptable to change.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and strong IT skills.
Working Pattern & Location:
- Full-time or part-time with flexible working, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and bank holidays.
- Minimum 24 hours per week for part-time.
- Location: Principal Medical Ltd, 3 Barberry Place, Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX26 3HA.
Salary & Benefits:
