About The Role

As a Strategy Principal Consultant specialising in Change and Transformation, you will help to shape and lead our strategic consulting services within Manifesto, guiding clients through complex digital and data transformation initiatives. Reporting to the Strategy and Innovation Director, you will leverage your expertise in digital and data transformation frameworks, organisational change, and change management methodologies to achieve measurable outcomes such as enhanced digital and data maturity, improved platform utilisation, and greater organisational effectiveness.

Ideally, you will have expertise and experience in the Not-for-Profit (NFP) sector. This role also offers the opportunity to work across sectors including Membership, Visitor attractions, Higher education, and related commercial clients. You will address sector-specific challenges and opportunities, ensuring best practices are applied to deliver transformative results.

This role requires understanding macro sector challenges and designing strategies tailored to each client’s needs. You will collaborate with senior leaders, delivery teams, and sector specialists, ensuring strategic alignment and effective implementation. As a thought leader, you will contribute to Manifesto’s external presence through speaking engagements, whitepapers, and sector-focused thought leadership. You will also stay informed about sector trends and issues, bringing fresh insights to your work and clients.

Key Objectives

  1. Strategic Leadership: Deliver transformative strategies aligned with client objectives and Manifesto’s values, driving improvements in digital maturity and organisational effectiveness.
  2. Client Impact: Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and shared ownership of transformation goals.
  3. Innovation Excellence: Help clients understand the link between data and digital strategy, supporting digital transformation with emerging technologies like AI and automation.
  4. Change Leadership: Apply change management methodologies to guide cultural and operational shifts, fostering adoption and buy-in.
  5. Sector Insights: Stay informed on trends and challenges across relevant sectors, integrating this knowledge into strategies.
  6. Commercial Growth: Identify growth opportunities and support securing transformation contracts.
  7. Thought Leadership: Position Manifesto as a leader through external contributions and thought leadership.

Key Accountabilities

Client Engagement

  • Lead transformation projects with multidisciplinary teams to deliver outcome-focused solutions.
  • Manage client roadmaps, aligning strategies with priorities.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions with senior stakeholders.
  • Establish feedback loops to measure satisfaction and improve services.
  • Assist clients in defining success metrics.

Strategic Leadership

  • Help shape our propositions in digital transformation.
  • Prioritise initiatives that deliver maximum value.
  • Utilise Agile, Lean, and traditional project management approaches.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Manifesto’s transformation frameworks.
  • Set strategic direction for design and delivery teams.
  • Stay updated on sector challenges and trends.
  • Lead cross-organisational transformation projects where Manifesto is the lead.

Change and Transformation Expertise

  • Apply knowledge of sector macro challenges to inform strategies.
  • Address sector-specific transformation challenges with expertise.
  • Design forward-thinking digital strategies considering emerging technologies.
  • Support organisations in prioritising and cultural change.
  • Bridge gaps between strategy, design, and delivery teams.

Team Development

  • Mentor and coach team strategists.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture.
  • Facilitate training in change management and transformation methodologies.

External Representation

  • Represent Manifesto as a sector thought leader.
  • Participate in speaking engagements and conferences.
  • Contribute to marketing materials and proposals.

Commercial Growth

  • Identify opportunities for client engagement expansion.
  • Support business development with compelling pitches.
  • Deliver successful projects to build trust and loyalty.

About You

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in digital transformation, especially in digital experience and data strategy.
  • Proven knowledge of change management methodologies.
  • Expertise in Agile, Lean, and traditional project management approaches.
  • Deep sector-specific knowledge in NFP, Membership, Visitor attractions, and related sectors.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior audiences.
  • Ability to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High commercial acumen, balancing client needs and impactful solutions.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools and data systems used in large transformations.
  • Experience with emerging technologies like AI and automation.
  • Supporting business proposals and crafting compelling narratives.
  • Knowledge of organisational design and operating models.
