We are looking for a skilled Senior Product Manager to oversee the successful delivery of complex digital, design, data, and technology projects. The role requires a blend of practice and consultancy skills. You may be required to operate in project roles that are not purely Product Management, and you will need a broader skillset that includes adaptability, analysis, building connections through collaboration and conflict resolution, situational awareness, and communication. You will need to know when to challenge and when to listen and be able to come up with and spot good ideas. You will be able to build relationships with clients at a senior level, helping them to champion Agile delivery and adopt the core principles of our product mindset. You will be comfortable acting as the glue that holds a team together, ensuring the team has a shared vision for our work while clarifying each individual's roles and responsibilities. You will also feel comfortable stepping into more of a leadership role in projects that have smaller teams or tighter budgets where roles are usually more broad.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the successful delivery of complex projects, managing client expectations while ensuring commercial success.
  • Build and maintain multidisciplinary product teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating, and working well together.
  • Assist in the management of client accounts, identifying opportunities to grow revenues through project extensions or new opportunities.
  • Support the professional development and continuous improvement of mid-weight delivery managers.
  • Actively participate and support the development of a high-functioning Product Community of Practice.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with client stakeholders.
  • Consistently implement the defined delivery methodology to a high standard.
  • Identify obstacles and help the delivery team to overcome them.
  • Focus the project team on what is most important to the delivery of our products and services.
  • Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of our projects.
  • Provide regular project and resource updates to Resource Managers and Heads of Delivery Management to plan and resource upcoming projects.
  • Work effectively across multiple client projects and teams.
  • Continuously maintain and update skills and knowledge to stay current within your relevant field of expertise.
  • Product manage on a diverse range of projects as part of TPXimpact's digital and design consultancy offer with responsibility for leading projects.
  • Help shape how TPXimpact learns and applies the best and latest Agile and Product thinking in all that we do, in product development, service and organisational design.
  • Contribute to project strategy; helping shape the direction and vision of projects.
  • When required, manage the rhythms and rituals of a multidisciplinary design team, helping the team collaborate, communicate and learn throughout delivery.
  • Drive change; ensuring our clients are fully behind our ideas, our designs are implemented and we have champions for our agile approach to delivery and product thinking.
  • Inspire the teams you work with and be excited by the projects you manage; you will need to be creative and able to spot a good idea when you see one.
  • Support TPXimpact's management team in operational matters like project resourcing and quality control.
  • Support sales activity ranging from the proposal and tender writing through to networking and speaking at engagement events.
  • A track record of product management and delivery management, ensuring that projects keep within time and budget constraints.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
  • A range of experience in designing and delivering change within large and complex environments using Agile methodologies and Product thinking to deliver projects effectively.
  • Experience working with clients in local government, central government, or the third sector while managing stakeholders within large organisations.
  • Excellent communication skills working within a multidisciplinary team and more broadly outside of the team to grow awareness.
  • The ability to help teams plan and prioritise their work over the product or client project lifecycle, helping them understand what tradeoffs must be made to deliver a project effectively.
  • Confident in playing a servant leadership role within multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the team works together well and has clarity on their roles and responsibilities.
  • Experience line managing colleagues while providing problem-solving support, coaching, and mentoring.
