Senior Business Analyst

You will be part of the wider Delivery Team at TPXimpact, supporting delivery and product managers on projects. You will also have a line manager who will assist you with your development plan as well as coaching and mentoring.

The Senior BA sits at the heart of the BA team – feeding into the community's direction and standards, while benefiting from the collective knowledge and support it offers. This applies to the wider Delivery Community of Practice. They bring together design, technical and data analysis skills to understand our client’s context, pain points and needs, which enable us to make genuine beneficial change happen.

This role description is not inflexible but is an outline and account of the main duties and capabilities. The role holder should, however, carry out any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role as the company's needs require.

• Accurately capture business and service needs ensuring processes are mapped out clearly for the delivery team.
• Using business analysis principles and tools to define requirements and processes that align with project goals.
• Lead small-to-medium-sized projects, such as Discoveries, in a consultancy capacity and support larger and more complex projects.
• Mentor and/or coach other business analysts from a personal development perspective (line management responsibilities).
• Coach and mentor both team members and others from within the BA team, to apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques.
• Own and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Carry out research, UAT and identify risks and mitigations.
• Document detailed requirements, functional and non-functional, that can be fed back to the relevant collaborators.
• Work independently where required.
• Be an active part of the delivery team to assist the team's successful project delivery.
• Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of TPXimpact projects (internal and external).
• Assist and support Lead BAs, Delivery Managers, Product Managers, the Head of Product & BA and the Delivery Director as required.
• Manage and support community of practice (BA team) activities within a business area.
• Support the Lead Business Analysts and Head of Product & BA, by working strategically to achieve goals agreed by the leadership.

The complexity or breadth of products or teams will vary in this role, depending on the context.

• Perform end-to-end business analysis by accurately capturing client needs, mapping service processes, and documenting detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work both independently and as an active member of the delivery team to ensure project success, carrying out research, UAT, and risk mitigation.
• Provide essential support to Delivery Managers, Product Managers, and other senior leaders as required.

• Provide leadership and grow the business analysis Community of Practice (BA team), setting standards, facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions, and championing the adoption of best-in-class agile and lean techniques.
• Drive the growth of the analyst team by participating in the interview and hiring process for new talent, ensuring candidates meet the required standards of skill and cultural fit.
• Mentor and coach other business analysts through dedicated line management, fostering their personal and professional development to build a high-performing team.
• Actively encourage and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement within the community and on all projects.

• Play a crucial role in the bid writing process by applying expert business analysis to define requirements, scope, and solutions for compelling commercial proposals.
• Lead small-to-medium-sized discovery projects in a pre‑sales and consultancy capacity, engaging directly with prospective clients to align project goals and strengthen bids.
• Own and manage key stakeholder relationships with new and existing clients to identify opportunities and ensure proposed solutions meet their core business needs.

• Community of Practice & Mentoring: Provide leadership, mentor, and grow our business analysis Community of Practice (BA team). This includes line‑management duties, coaching team members, sharing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stakeholder Management: Expertly manage stakeholder relationships at all levels. You can communicate complex information clearly, resolve conflict, and build consensus around business and user needs.

• Agile Ways of Working: Champion and embed agile principles within projects. You'll guide teams in selecting the best delivery methods, help them prioritise work towards an MVP, and use metrics to measure and evaluate outcomes effectively.
• User Focus: Keep the user at the heart of the process. You can define user research, analyse both quantitative and qualitative data, and translate user needs into tangible outcomes.

• Strategic Business Analysis: Investigate complex business problems and opportunities. You can define clear requirements, ensure solutions align with strategic goals, and quantify business benefits to inform decision‑making.
• Process Improvement & Modelling: Identify opportunities to improve business performance. You'll lead the analysis and design of process changes, using a wide range of modelling techniques to gain stakeholder agreement.
• Client‑Side Consultancy & Advisory: You'll act as a trusted advisor, embedding yourself within client‑side projects to understand their unique culture, challenges, and strategic goals.
• Leading Project Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement: You will take a leadership role in the end‑to‑end delivery of client projects.

• Digital perspective & tooling: Apply a strong understanding of digital technologies to your work.

• AI‑Augmented Delivery: Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, brainstorming, and documentation.
• Ethical & Consultative Advisory: Guide clients through AI readiness by distinguishing between hype and practical business value.
• Critical Thinking & Oversight: Maintain a human‑in‑the‑loop mindset.
