We are looking for a dynamic and problem-solving Resource & Associate Manager to join our Resourcing team and work collaboratively across the TPX Consulting team. Your core responsibility will be to manage a number of accounts from a resourcing perspective, working alongside the project lead and other capability Heads Of to ensure the right team is allocated to new and live pieces of work as well as planning for future work. This role also requires you to grow and nurture our community of associates, to build a strong and successful team for our project delivery. A key focus will be the successful implementation and ongoing management of our Professional Services Automation (PSA) project, leveraging it to optimise resource allocation and financial performance. This position sits within the Resourcing Team and reports directly to the Head of Resourcing & Operations.
Responsibilities
- Assigning available employees to projects in accordance with their skill sets, previous experience and availability, with a strong focus on ensuring project readiness for on-time starts.
- Working actively to optimise overall utilisation within the consultancy division, reporting on any issues and supporting on any remediation, directly contributing to the efficient recognition of project revenue.
- Build and maintain key internal stakeholder relationships for project requirements and act as one of the key points of contact.
- Understand what is required and when, keep abreast of future requirements and pipeline resources accordingly, ensuring a proactive approach to resourcing that supports financial objectives.
- Project Resourcing - working in close collaboration with our Delivery teams and internal stakeholders to create and shape project teams, ensuring timely staffing that drives project initiation and revenue milestones.
- With a clear brief of what is needed, find the appropriate resource from a variety of sources.
- Manage resource conflicts with a clear understanding of the impact on project timelines and revenue recognition.
- Own, grow and nurture our community of associates; build and maintain a strong pipeline of associates.
- Establish/manage the deployable skills database, capturing relevant skills and capabilities, experience and delivery as well as availability and project history.
- Recruitment agency liaison (where appropriate) + PSL management.
- Actively participate in the implementation and ongoing optimisation of the PSA project, ensuring its successful adoption and integration into daily resourcing operations.

About You
- Professional knowledge and experience in software consultancy and an understanding of the digital landscape.
- Recruitment and/or resource management experience.
- Experience of successfully building and maintaining a network of associates.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks efficiently.
- Critical thinking, analytical and forecasting skills, particularly in relation to project start dates, revenue projections and gross margin.
- Conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal interaction skills.
- Passion for building, managing and developing multidisciplinary digital teams.
- Experience managing agencies and suppliers.
- Ability to use technology (analytics tools, CRM, PSA or resource management software).
Technical skills
- Proficiency in using resource management platforms.
- Ability to analyse data related to resource utilisation, availability, and project requirements.
- Proficiency in conducting interviews and assessing candidates' technical and soft skills.
- Knowledge of effective onboarding practices.
- Advanced skills in using spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of database systems to manage and retrieve resource-related information efficiently.
- Ability to build and maintain a network of potential candidates and industry contacts.
