We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our Business Change team, delivering high‑quality analysis across a range of initiatives including member portals, internal applications, and digital change. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and delivery partners to understand needs, shape solutions, and support the delivery of effective, well‑governed change. This role suits someone who is comfortable working independently, owning their analysis outputs, and contributing to improvements across digital and operational journeys.
You will be responsible for:
- Eliciting, analysing, and documenting functional and non‑functional requirements for change initiatives, including portal and application enhancements
- Translating business needs into clear analysis artefacts such as:
- User stories and acceptance criteria
- User journey maps and workflow models
- Business cases and impact assessments
- Working with stakeholders, Product Owners, UX/UI designers, and delivery teams to shape user‑centered digital solutions
- Facilitating workshops, interviews, and walkthroughs to validate requirements and options
- Supporting delivery in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments, including backlog refinement and prioritisation
- Owning BA input into testing and UAT, ensuring solutions meet requirements and deliver an intuitive user experience
- Identifying risks, issues, and dependencies related to analysis and escalating appropriately
- Ensuring compliance with information security, data protection, and governance standards
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience delivering business analysis independently
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills across complex processes
- Experience producing high‑quality BA artefacts from discovery through to delivery
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to challenge constructively
- Proficiency with BA tools such as Visio and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage priorities and work with a high level of autonomy
- Experience working on customer or member‑facing portals and applications
- Familiarity with end‑to‑end digital user journeys, across front‑end and operational processes
- Experience working with Agile or hybrid delivery teams
- Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or Balsamiq
- Experience in pensions, financial services, or other regulated environments
- BA qualifications (e.g. BCS, IIBA, or equivalent)
