TPS provides independent garages and Bodyshops with the high-quality Genuine Parts and products which customers need to ensure they can service and repair Volkswagen Group vehicles. TPS is part of the Volkswagen Group along with Audi, SEAT, KODA, Volkswagen passenger cars and Commercial Vehicles. TPS is a national network of TPS Centres with a 1,500-strong national workforce and a management team that prides itself on creating an environment that offers our people a motivating and inclusive workplace where they are recognised and rewarded and are encouraged to go on a journey of Learning and Development.
Nationally launched as a new brand concept in 2006, TPS is based on an Agency Model; this means that Centres stock and sell on behalf of Volkswagen Group UK. TPS has continued to experience rapid growth both financially and in the number of Centres opened nationwide.
About the Role
The TPS Investor Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing Parts Sales teams based in Sheffield, Barnsley and Lincoln. The role will drive sales performance, customer satisfaction and operational excellence across both sites through effective leadership of Mechanical Team Leaders and Parts Sales Executives.
Sales
- Analyse sales performance, identify local and regional opportunities, with robust and clear action plans to achieve targets.
- Actively seeking new conquest customers across the wider territory, whilst maximising existing customer relationships to increase average spends and product category opportunities.
- Ensure consistent processes, standards and best practices are implemented and embedded by the Mechanical Team Leaders across all centres.
- Measure and drive KPI results, productivity and quality measures, taking corrective performance management where required.
Managing the Team
- Full people management responsibility of the Sales teams across Sheffield, Barnsley and Lincoln to deliver the best colleague experience results and an established, high-performing culture whilst maintaining strong colleague retention.
- Lead, coach and drive the Mechanical Team Leaders to ensure consistent high performance in a result led business.
- Create and embed a results focused philosophy whilst maintaining a one team culture approach across all 3 centres.
- Ensure capacity planning runs efficiently to optimise consistent customer experience via effective resource planning.
Customer
- Build strong, professional partnerships with internal TPS stakeholders and customers to promote credibility and longevity measured in customer experience results.
- Expectation of 1 day in each centre per week, plus 1 day of face-to-face customer relationship management with clear follow-up.
Requirements
- Previous call centre management experience gained in a B2B environment, or multiple sales team management experience.
- Previous people management experience, including managing managers or team leaders.
- Strong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering sales growth.
- Ability to work across multiple locations and manage geographically dispersed teams.
- Possess a high degree of analytical skill, problem-solving and IT literacy.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
