TPS provides independent garages and bodyshops with high-quality Genuine Parts and products to service and repair Volkswagen Group vehicles. TPS is part of the Volkswagen Group and has a national network of TPS Centres with a 1,500-strong workforce.
About the Role
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the TPS Warehouse Operative is responsible for:
- Ensuring efficient control of inbound and outbound warehouse parts stock.
- Performing quality checks on stock deliveries.
- Identifying and placing inbound parts into correct locations.
- Picking customer orders quickly and accurately for dispatch.
- Adhering to First In, First Out (FIFO) stock control management processes.
- Maintaining stock securely and in good condition.
- Assisting the Warehouse Manager with regular perpetual stock checks.
- Providing high levels of customer service by picking parts accurately.
- Ensuring trade customers are dealt with efficiently.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Following established business processes and guidelines.
- Dealing with exchange units appropriately and processing returns swiftly.
- Utilising and updating all systems effectively.
Requirements
- Experience in a parts or distribution operation involving inventory control.
- Passionate about the automotive industry.
- Proven experience of providing great customer service.
- Demonstrate a positive can-do attitude.
- Able to lift and carry heavy items.
- Computer literate and able to use appropriate systems and software.
- Ability to work in a small team and use own initiative.
- Ability to record information accurately and legibly.
- A methodical approach with great attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, verbal and written.
