Embrace this exciting opportunity to support the Victims Payment Board (VPB) in delivery of the clinical assessment service for the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme If you have over 4 years post registration experience and are experienced in mental health or psychiatric backgrounds, we are now hiring nurses and allied health professionals to join the team as a Clinical Assessor! Benefits: A competitive basic salary of £38,500 alongside a career pathway programme which can increase your salary up to £41,400 plus up to 10% bonus Fully paid 6 weeks training programme with on-going support provided Flexible work patterns Work between 8am and 8pm, while youll be contracted to work 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid Working predominantly working from home, with clinic visits required 23 days holiday, rising to 25 after 2 years Plus so many more Responsibilities: Meet physically and/or virtually with applicants and review available medical evidence from applicants to the scheme to determine the permanence of an applicants condition and their percentage disablement Play a pro-active role in seeking insight and further medical evidence as required from GPs, other healthcare professionals or services to support the applicants TPDPS application Gather relevant information, where applicable from the applicant and or representative, and analyse and interpret clinical information along with any other supporting evidence. Compile a comprehensive report in a professional and concise manner, including a detailed history, a full justification and conclusion from evidence gathered to support the Victims Payments Board (VPB) in its decision-making. Criteria: A minimum of 2 years post-registration experience Fully registered without sanction or conditions of practice with the NMC A demonstrable background in a Mental Health / Psychiatric speciality Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales. Ability to relate to people from a range of socio-economic backgrounds, races, religions, and cultures. Report writing skills with an ability to deal with a high percentage of work using a laptop and IT systems. Gather relevant information, where applicable from the applicant and or representative, and analyse and interpret clinical information along with any other supporting evidence.
