International Freight Operator

Job description

We are looking to strengthen our International Operations team with an international Freight Operator. A minimum of 2 years\’ experience in the transport and logistics industry is essential. You will be handling export and imports from start to finish, including customs clearance.

What you be doing:

• Maintain, review, and create tariffs with agreed rates established with the directors and sales team.
• Organise and follow through all shipments alongside the Supervisor and Manager.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, transport companies and suppliers.
• Create quotations for import, export and /or cross trade in an agreed timeframe if required.
• Have an understanding of market conditions and trends.
• Monitoring & reporting shipment status to client
• Resolve any pricing queries or complaints and escalate if necessary.
• Review all customs clearance paperwork and submit NES/import entries when required.
• Responsible for imports and exports shipments.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and all other relevant departments.
• Handling ATA Carnets, Temporary Importation

What we are looking for:

· Previous experience in the transport and logistics industry is essential, particularly road freight and customs clearance.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· A proactive person with a can-do attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
