We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Health & Safety & Compliance Manager to help shape and lead our approach to health and safety, compliance. This is a newly refocused role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact across a unique organisation that combines higher education, creativity and live performance activity.
You'll work across the organisation to provide specialist expertise, leadership and coordination in health and safety, compliance and governance activities:
- Developing and embedding consistent health and safety processes across departments.
- Improving and standardising risk assessments and risk management practices.
- Managing health and safety audits, inspections and compliance action plans.
- Maintaining and improving compliance monitoring and tracking systems.
- Monitoring estates-related statutory compliance requirements and supporting organisational assurance activities.
- Supporting governance processes, audits and organisational risk management.
You may be working in education, the arts, facilities management, healthcare, local government, housing, the charity sector or another complex operational environment.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in health and safety management.
- Experience working in complex multi-stakeholder environments such as arts, education, charity, public sector, healthcare, housing, leisure or commercial organisations would be beneficial.
- NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) essential.
- Knowledge of estates compliance around fire safety, water hygiene, statutory inspections, PUWER and LOLER.
- Experience managing compliance, governance or risk-related processes.
- Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and risk register management.
