To further its commitment to academic excellence, the institution is seeking a visionary Assistant Dean (Quality and Enhancement) to join its leadership team. You will provide strategic leadership to ensure academic quality and enhance the student experience. Reporting to senior leadership, the role includes overseeing curriculum development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving innovation in teaching and learning.
As the Assistant Dean (Quality and Enhancement) you will be required to:
- Oversee academic standards, manage quality assurance processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Lead curriculum development, deliver staff training, and champion innovative teaching practices to enhance the student experience.
- Amplify the student voice, oversee representation, and manage academic cases such as complaints and appeals.
- Support the Institute’s business plan, contribute to institutional strategies, and represent the Institute on University committees.
- Line-manage academic support staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture
The Assistant Dean (Quality and Enhancement) will possess:
- A PhD (or equivalent) and a Master’s level qualification.
- Demonstrable expertise in academic teaching practices and principles.
- Proven management experience within higher education or a similar professional context.
- A track record of successfully operating within academic quality frameworks and regulatory environments.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working in multicultural and diverse settings.
- The ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and travel between campuses as required.
