My Client, is a well known and highly reputable firm of chartered accountants based in Maidstone, Kent. We’re assisting them in their search for a VAT Director to further strengthen their well-established and highly reputable indirect tax team in Kent and the Southeast. This position will be advisory focused, while overseeing the compliance function, working with a wide array of clients across the South-East. There are excellent career prospects on offer as you develop within the position including future partnership. Y ou will be responsible for: Leading the VAT team on all areas of VAT advice Technical research for a breadth of topics and keeping the wider tax team apprised of technical developments Drafting reports and letters of advice for a wide range of clients and industries Liaising with clients and attending meetings Business development including marketing areas of opportunity Managing and developing members of the VAT team.
