TPF Recruitment are supporting a market leading regional firm of chartered accountants based in Tenterden in their search for an experienced Audit & Accounts Partner Designate. This position will suit an ambitious applicant who is looking to achieve their RI status and become a Director or Partner in the future.
As an Audit & Accounts Partner Designate you will be responsible for managing and completion of audits for small, medium and large companies and charities, including managing your own portfolio of independent examinations for charities, solicitors, accounts & tax work for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and personal tax return clients.
Your role responsibilities will include:
- Supervising a portfolio of audit and accounts clients and department work planning
- Reviewing accounts and providing advice for more complex clients
- Managing members of the audit team, carrying out audit accounts
- Applying relevant reporting standards, tax law and auditing standards whilst executing work within deadlines and to budget and communicating effectively
- Supporting team members and assisting them in resolving technical issues
- Working alongside the partners to manage client relationships, focusing on their needs and dealing with queries and requests as they arise, liaising with other team members to ensure the smooth flow of work
- Regularly reporting to partners on the workflow, work in progress, forthcoming deadlines and job costs and giving regular, constructive feedback to the audit and accounts team
- Assisting in the assessment, development and training of the team
- Depending on experience, potentially supporting the partners with marketing and the development of the practice
Requirements:
- Ideally ACA or ACCA qualified with extensive experience gained within practice
- Be RI qualified or aspire to achieve RI status
- Be completely conversant with all aspects of audit procedures
- Have experience of effectively supervising junior team members
- Proven analytical skills with an acute attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
Benefits:
£60,000 - £85,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable. A highly competitive benefits package is also on offer.
