TPF Recruitment is supporting a highly regarded, multisited firm of chartered accountants in its search for an Accounts & Bookkeeping Advisor to join its Stalbridge office.
This is a varied opportunity for an experienced accountancy practice professional who enjoys working closely with clients and providing a broad range of accounts and bookkeeping services. The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of owner managed businesses, with exposure to agricultural and farming clients available.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Completing bookkeeping and management accounts
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Supporting clients with cloud accounting software
- Maintaining accurate accounting records
- Responding to client queries and building strong working relationships
- Liaising with colleagues across the wider firm
- Assisting with other general practice work where required
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- Possess a good working knowledge of accounts preparation and bookkeeping
- Be confident communicating directly with clients
- Be comfortable managing their own workload and meeting deadlines
- Have experience or knowledge of agricultural and farming clients, although this is not essential
- Be qualified by experience, AAT qualified or studying towards a professional qualification
