They are looking for a Qualified Practice Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) to join their friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who enjoys working closely with clients, managing a varied portfolio, and contributing to the success of a thriving independent firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries, acting as their main point of contact
  • Prepare and review statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Complete and file corporation tax returns and personal tax computations
  • Ensure compliance with all HMRC and Companies House filing requirements
  • Provide business advisory services and support clients with their financial queries
  • Use Xero daily - including bookkeeping reviews, bank reconciliations, and reporting
  • Supervise and support junior team members where required
  • Liaise with HMRC, banks, and other third parties on behalf of clients

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with proven experience in a UK accountancy practice
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero - essential
  • Confident managing a portfolio of clients independently
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines
