TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a forward-thinking and growing accountancy practice in the Epsom area that is looking to recruit a Practice Management Accountant to join its team, due to continued growth and investment in the department. The team is currently undergoing an exciting digital transformation, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, process improvement and working closely with clients.
This role will suit a hands-on Practice Management Accountant who enjoys variety, client interaction and taking ownership of their work. You will be responsible for delivering high quality bookkeeping and management accounts support to a portfolio of clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts for a range of clients
- Overseeing and reviewing bookkeeping work
- Supporting clients with financial reporting and providing practical insights
- Managing deadlines and ensuring timely delivery of financial information
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact
- Supporting the firm's transition towards more digital and automated processes
- Working with modern cloud systems including Xero
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency across the department
Requirements
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience preparing management accounts within practice or an outsourced finance function
- Strong bookkeeping knowledge and technical confidence
- Experience using cloud accounting software, ideally Xero
- A strong interest in systems, technology and digital processes
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
