TPF Recruitment is supporting a respected and fast growing accountancy practice in Sussex that is looking to appoint a Part Qualified Accountant for its Steyning office. This firm has built a strong reputation over thirty years and offers a broad advisory and compliance service to an ambitious and varied client base.
The role
In this position you will take responsibility for a developing portfolio of clients and support a wide range of accounting and tax work. Typical duties include:
- Accounts production for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and not for profit organisations
- Preparation of tax computations
- Responding to incoming client queries
- Management accounts and VAT returns
- Managing your own workflow and meeting deadlines
Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring:
- AAT qualification or equivalent as a minimum and progression toward ACCA or ACA
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice
- A collaborative approach with strong drive and work ethic
- Ability to manage pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
- Confident communication skills and a personable manner
- Good working knowledge of Excel, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and CCH
- Xero certification is welcome but not essential
- A driving licence and access to your own transport
Benefits
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience
Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexible and hybrid working
Holiday: 23 days annual leave excluding bank holidays, rising by one day for each year of service up to a maximum of 28 days.
