TPF Recruitment is recruiting for a fantastic firm of accountants who are looking for an Accounts and Tax Senior to join their team in Sidcup. This accountancy practice boasts a fantastic work‑life balance and offers an excellent family‑feel working environment. You will work in a general practice capacity across accounts, tax, bookkeeping, VAT and CIS with a primary focus on accounts and tax preparation. You will have the support of a small, but experienced team, and work in a client‑facing capacity. Clients range from sole traders and partnerships to limited companies of varying sizes, across a range of sectors. The opportunity offers good progression and technical development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Managing a client portfolio including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and individuals.
- Overseeing and managing all aspects of client service delivery, including preparation of year‑end accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT and CIS.
- Liaise with clients on accounts and tax issues as required.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, keeping them informed of progress and maintaining regular contact with them.
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members and resolving all issues prior to submission.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Qualifications
- ACCA/ACA qualified with at least 2-3 years of post‑qualification experience or qualified by experience.
- Have proven experience of working in a practice environment.
- Experience in managing a client portfolio.
- Have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Experience in using cloud‑based accounting software packages, such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
Benefits
