TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency is recruiting for a Senior Practice Accountant to join a fantastic, chartered accountancy practice in Sandwich, Kent. This firm is currently experiencing growth and can offer excellent future progression prospects. It will be a hands-on, client-facing position, where you can maintain a good work life balance.
As a Senior Practice Accountant in Sandwich, your responsibilities will include the following:
- Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and ltd companies.
- Prepare client tax returns and advise on tax payable and payment dates.
- Bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, supplier maintenance and management accounts, as and when required.
- Proactively liaise with clients to obtain relevant information, ensuring attention to detail.
- Monitor own job quality and quantity in line with agreed budgets, meeting these targets and exceeding where possible.
- Support trainees by providing on the job coaching.
- Assisting clients with accounts software and other queries as required.
To be considered for this role, applicants will have the following skills, experience, and attributes:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
- Be IT literate, preferably with knowledge of Iris, and/or Sage, Xero or QuickBooks.
- Have excellent communication, listening and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organised and self-motivated.
Both part time, and full time applicants will be considered.
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience and background, negotiable.
25 days annual leave + 8 days for bank holiday.
