TPF Recruitment is delighted to represent an independent firm of Chartered Accountants in their search for a Senior Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative team in Brighton. Our client is a well-established accountancy practice with a family-oriented culture, offering fantastic exposure to a variety of clients while fostering teamwork and professional growth. They have a forward-thinking approach, prioritising cloud-based bookkeeping and advisory services, in addition to traditional accounting and tax compliance.
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing well-rounded accounting services to a diverse client base, focusing on Xero-based cloud accounting, VAT, management accounts, and tax returns. While year-end accounts and tax compliance remain crucial, the firm is looking for someone who can add value through advisory services and client support.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparing statutory accounts and tax returns for a range of clients
- Managing VAT returns and management accounts
- Supporting clients with cloud-based bookkeeping using Xero
- Advising clients on financial processes and technology-driven solutions
- Working closely with business owners to provide tailored financial insights
- Assisting with general business advisory services
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of Xero and other cloud-based accounting software
- Ability to handle a varied workload including VAT, accounts, management accounts, and tax returns
- A proactive approach with a strong advisory mindset
- Part-qualified, fully qualified (ACA/ACCA), or qualified by experience candidates welcome
