TPF Recruitment, Kentβs leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is working on behalf of a rapidly growing Top 20 firm of chartered accountants based in Rochester. The firm is seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join their team.
This is an exciting position where you will work with a range of sole traders, partnerships and ltd companies, providing them with a mixed statutory account and tax service. This vacancy poses a rare opportunity where the candidate will be given full training and support to develop their corporate tax advisory skills further.
- Preparing Financial Statements: Support the preparation of statutory accounts for clients.
- Corporation Tax Returns: Prepare tax computations for companies for review by the Corporate Tax Manager.
- Liaising with Clients and HMRC: Provide excellent communication and support on behalf of clients to ensure compliance and resolve queries.
- Improving Processes: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of processes and workflows within the team.
- Training and Mentoring: Assist in the development of junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
Requirements
- Qualifications: qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience with at least 3 years of experience in accounts and management accounts.
- Personal Attributes: Energetic, ambitious, and committed to continuous personal development with a growth mindset.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards, with knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Cloud Accounting: Experience with cloud-based accounting software is essential, preferably QuickBooks and Xero.
