About Us: Our client is a well-established, forward-thinking accountancy practice based in Epsom, offering a comprehensive range of services to a diverse client base. They are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Qualified Accountant to join their team and manage their own client portfolio.

The Role: This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to play a key role within their practice. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients with a value exceeding £150,000, providing high-quality service in accounts preparation, tax compliance, and potentially audit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing your own portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services
  • Preparation/review of year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
  • Preparation/review of corporation tax computations and personal tax returns
  • Advising clients on tax planning, compliance, and business strategy
  • Supporting or leading on audit assignments, depending on experience
  • Liaising with HMRC and other third parties on behalf of clients
  • Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor

Requirements:

  • ACCA or ACA qualified (essential)
  • Experience managing a portfolio with a fee value of at least £150,000
  • Strong accounts preparation skills with experience across a variety of industries
  • Exposure to tax (corporate and/or personal) or audit work (preferred)
  • Additional tax qualification (e.g. CTA) advantageous
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and client relationship skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
