The Role

We are seeking a motivated Accounts Junior / Accounts Assistant with at least 12 months’ experience in an accountancy practice. This role offers broad exposure across general practice work and is ideal for someone looking to continue or complete their ACCA studies while gaining practical, hands-on experience. The firm is also open to candidates operating at a semi-senior level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing accounts for small to medium-sized clients
  • Managing bookkeeping and reconciliations
  • Assisting with VAT returns and other compliance tasks
  • Supporting audits and client-facing projects
  • Learning from and supporting senior staff with ad hoc accounting tasks

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 months’ experience within an accountancy practice
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and colleagues
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good IT skills, particularly Excel and accounting software
